How to Create a Minty Prevent Campaign

Minty Prevent allows you to engage shoppers at key points in their shopping journey with a targeted offer designed to help prevent them from leaving without converting.

Follow the steps below to create, configure, and publish a Minty Prevent campaign.

1. Create Your Campaign

  1. Log in to the Minty dashboard.

  2. Select Prevent from the navigation.

  3. Select Create Campaign.

Choose Your Trigger

Select what shopper behavior will trigger Minty Prevent to engage.

Interest

Targets shoppers who have viewed a sufficient number of pages on your site, indicating that they are actively browsing and showing interest.

Intent

Targets shoppers who have abandoned their cart, indicating a stronger intent to purchase.

Custom

Allows you to create your own trigger criteria and determine exactly when Minty Prevent should engage a shopper.

2. Select Your Offer

Choose the offer you want to present to shoppers.

Select an Existing Offer

Use an offer you have already created in Minty.

Create a New Offer

Build a new offer specifically for this campaign.

3. Choose How the Offer Is Redeemed

Select how shoppers will redeem the offer.

Bulk Codes

Unique codes that can each be used one time.

A CSV file containing your single use codes is required.

Static Codes

One generic code that shoppers can use repeatedly.

No Code Required

Select this option when shoppers do not need to enter a code to activate the offer.

Cashback Boost

Stack Minty Cashback on top of your offer to help increase post click conversion.

Note: Cashback Boost is required when no offer code is being used.

Layout

Choose between:

  • Header + sub headers

  • Single line

5. Configure Your Codes

The code configuration options depend on the redemption method you selected.

If You Selected Bulk Codes

1. Upload your codes

Upload a .csv file containing your unique offer codes.

Your file must meet the following requirements:

  • CSV format

  • The top row must be a header row

  • One unique code per line

  • Each code must be between 4 and 24 characters

2. Create a backup offer code

Enter a backup static code. This allows shoppers to continue receiving a working code if your supply of single use codes runs out.

3. Mark the code as exclusive to Minty

Enable this setting if the offer is available exclusively through Minty.

Exclusive codes tend to perform better.

4. Set up alerts

Minty can email you when your supply of single use codes is running low.

Enter multiple email addresses separated by commas.

If You Selected Static Code

1. Enter your static code

Enter the code shoppers will use at checkout.

We recommend using a random alphanumeric code, such as SAVE10RZF41A, rather than a generic code such as SAVE10.

Special characters are not permitted.

If you are concerned about code leakage, consider using Bulk Codes with single use codes instead.

2. Mark the code as exclusive to Minty

Enable this setting if the offer is exclusive to Minty.

Exclusive codes tend to perform better.

6. Name Your Campaign

Enter a descriptive name for your campaign.

Use a name that makes it easy to identify the campaign and its purpose later.

7. Create and Publish Your Campaign

Once you have completed your campaign setup:

  1. Review your trigger, offer, redemption method, and code configuration.

  2. Select Create Campaign.

  3. Publish the campaign.

Your Minty Prevent campaign is now live and ready to engage shoppers based on the trigger you selected.
